The algorithm was developed at the Department of MMAD in cooperation with the University of Maryland within research project of the University of Maryland "Detecting and Mapping War-Induced Damage to Agricultural Fields in Ukraine Using Multi-Modal Remote Sensing Data" (grant number 23-LCLUC23_2-0005), project of the World Bank "Supporting Transparent Land Governance in Ukraine" (grant numbers ENI/2017/387–093, ENI/2020/418–654) and the NRFU project "Geospatial system for monitoring the impact of war on the agriculture of Ukraine based on satellite data" (registration number 2023.04/0039).
The development process used the field boundaries provided by Sinergise, identified within the initiative EO4UA, and cloud computing resources provided by Open Clouds for Research Environments.
